From September 21 to 22, Keqiang Li , member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, inspected Shanghai.

On September 22, Premier Keqiang Li walked into the State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering on Xuhui Campus of SJTU to investigate basic research and technological innovation, and came to the Climate Change Laboratory of SOO to discuss issues related to climate change with teachers and students.

The Laboratory of Climate Change is led by Michael L. Bender, Academician of the US Academy of Sciences and a visiting professor at SOO. Dean Meng Zhou of SOO accompanied the visit and made introductions.

The Prime Minister's visit aroused heated discussions between teachers and students, raised the morale of all teachers and students, and strengthened everyone's determination to contribute to maritime power.
