About the speaker:

Kristopher B. Karnauskas got his Ph.D in 2007 from the University of Maryland–College Park. Heis currently anassociate professor at the Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences of the University of Colorado Boulder. Dr. Karnauskasexplores the dynamics of the coupled Earth system toward useful predictions of impacts ranging from marine ecosystems to human health.He has authored or co-authored more than 110 peer-reviewed journal articles, with a citation about 1,800 times by Google Scholar.He is also the member of Boulder Faculty Climate Science and Education Committee. He is the editor of Journal of Geophysical Research–Oceans andreviewer of many journals, such as PNAS, Nature, Nature Geoscience, Sci. Rep., Nature Comms., Eos, GRL, J. Clim., etc.
